Wise Reading

This week we compiled a list of some of our favorite resources on parenting. Often, our best resource has been another mom! We also enjoy reading books by experts, and by people a bit ahead of us in this journey.

Here are a few of our most helpful finds:

Untangled by Lisa D’Amour

Parent Fuel by Barry St. Clair

Boundaries by Drs. Cloud and Townsend

Any resource from Sissy Goff: we love her sound and practical wisdom!

Any resource from Ted or Paul Tripp.

Any resource from Vicki Courtney.

What would you add to the list?

We believe we are created to live in community and we believe we cannot live well without solid community. We love watching groups grow and thrive together! One way to grow and thrive is to set aside time together as moms to share ideas and insights.

Relay Exchange, Inc. offers a resource called Works in Progress: A Parenting Dashboard to use as a baseline to gather the moms of your group and talk about your parenting journey. This Scripture based discussion guide and Bible study is a 6 week journey you take with other moms. Together you will read Scripture and discuss topics including trusting God with your children, leading well in your home, following Jesus and good examples, relating to your children and the importance of refueling as a mom.

If you decide to do the study, let us know!

You can purchase the study guide on Amazon, Christian Book or Barnes and Noble.
